All over the globe, people are celebrating women – not just mothers, but wives, daughters, leaders, caregivers, volunteers and others who have offered themselves to our communities.
The celebrations are lasting throughout this weekend and I encourage you to simply Google the words to learn more about what is going on -not only here in the PNW, but around the world. There are some amazing stories to read and be inspired by. You may even see yourself in some of them~
One of my favorite local event blogs is Around the Sun and offers free events to enjoy this weekend as well. If you aren’t able to attend the Women’s Celebration at Portland State University this weekend, there are many other local ways of celebrating yourselves and the women in your lives.
No matter whether you leave your house or can’t this weekend, give yourself a hug and some credit for all the strength you have expressed in your lives. Rejoice in all that you offer and know that those of us you share your days with are sincerely grateful to you.
