Today, Bloggers Unite is hosting a one-day opportunitiy for bloggers to raise their voices in support of efforts to reunite families and their loved ones in Third World countries.
Even though it is not specifically about lupus, chronic illness or the Pacific NW, we at MLWT felt that the concept of not knowing – where your ‘family’ is, needing support in order to survive or not knowing who you can or cannot trust with your care – does apply to all of us. Although not to the degree that the world’s refugees must face, the sense of insecurity affects us deeply reaching beyond the barriers and fences in our own lives.
For that reason, we are participating in this effort today with hopes of reaching out to all of you here.
